40 years ago this month, one of the biggest pop songs of all time, Purple Rain, was released by Prince. Born in Minnesota, Prince Rogers Nelson was a budding star before this song was produced. When it came out, it became a smashing success and became one of the most iconic hits of all time in America. It is one of the first things that come to mind when we talk about my home state.
