Questionnaire: The Future of English- Deadline Extended to June 30th

The deadline of May 31st has come and gone. However, to ensure that everyone has a chance to take part, the deadline has been extended by a month. If you haven’t had a chance to participate in this questionnaire, you have until June 30th to do just that, let alone encourage others to participate. It’s for a project that I’m doing which will also be featured in the Files.

Remember the date: June 30th is the final date for the survey. The results will be presented afterwards. Good luck and many thanks for your help. 🙂

Generated with AI

📸

As mentioned in yesterday’s post, I have been working with AI technology recently, trying to find out what benefits and potential drawbacks it has for teaching in the classroom. One of the potential drawbacks happens to be the use of photos generated with AI.

If you type in a key word and ask the computer to generate it, you will find a photo that looks real, but in all reality, it is simply an artistic work that is futuristic and doesn’t match the photo you are looking for, one in real life that mirrors the one you are looking for or remember in the past.

There are some exceptions though, which includes this photo of Flensburg. For experimental reasons, I typed in a request to find a photo of Flensburg to find out what the city looks like in AI form.  Sure enough, I got this image that closely resembles the city. While some elements of the photo matches that of the city in real life, there are some that are comparably different. Can you identify them? And have a stab at where this might be located within Flensburg.

The evidence shows that when you request something with AI technology, you will get something that is different than what you expect. Therefore, be very careful and check over the information you receive when inquiring with AI. After all it will not be to the best results you are looking for.

Some tips about how to go about with AI technology will come soon. But for now, enjoy this AI animated photo of Flensburg. And have a great weekend. 😎
