Frankfurt’s Apfelwein —

I can remember drinking cider ever since we graduated from apple juice years ago.  Locally, they make cider from apples, pears and peaches, but much of it these days is made from concentrates, which in my mind spoils the taste.  They are also experimenting with other fruits and combinations, usually too sweet.

Frankfurt’s Apfelwein —

And to crown the tour provided by Ian Kent, we have the Frankfurt Apfelwein. Many people wonder what this Apfelwein is. Many of you have tried apple cider, either based on your grandmother’s recipe or a recipe you tried while visiting Europe. This Apfelwein, famous in the German state of Hesse is like apple cider, but with a twist. Mr. Kent will show you the rest plus a tour. Enjoy! 🙂
