The pioneering of broadcasting went back to the 1970s and the NFL Today was the first to introduce a diverse culture when it debuted in 1975. Irv Cross was the first black American to co-host the sports show, alongside Phyllis George, Jimmy the Greek and of course, Brent Musberger. It was a real treat watching them do the analysis of the games and each NFL football team. Irv was a classic- straight forward, humorous and a man who knew the game both on and off the field. He will be missed. 🏈🏟️🎙️❤️🌻
